SERVICES

As a level 3 personal trainer and group fitness instructor, I offer indoor and outdoor group fitness classes and 1-to-1s.

GROUP CIRCUITS

Fast, fun and functional

My classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels and include a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions. I'm passionate about helping people develop and maintain a love for exercise. This leads to consistent training which is where you get the best results.

The classes always include a mix of resistance, flexibility and low intensity cardiovascular training with gradual progressions and adaptions built in over time.

Regular physical activity at any age, will help to improve balance, strength, gait, muscular power, blood pressure, endurance and bone density and consequently helps with weight management . All of which have been proven a lower risk of developing many long-term (chronic) conditions. There are also the improvements to cognitive functioning and stress management attributed to exercise.

MY STORY

As a lover of (read totally obsessed with) the great outdoors, my passion as a personal trainer is centred around working with clients to embed positive changes in their lives, through exercise and nutrition, to achieve lifelong health and wellbeing.

Whenever possible we train outdoors to reap the huge associated benefits for both the mind and body.

I work closely with clients to understand their lifestyle and barriers to exercise and healthy eating, to create a varied, fun and sociable yet challenging fitness programme.

The programmes set will always include a combination of strength, cardiovascular and flexibility exercises.

Whatever your age, there's strong scientific evidence that being physically active can help you lead a healthier and happier life.

I offer private sessions, private group sessions and regular outdoor bootcamps which can be tailed to all levels of fitness and ability.

MOGO LIFELONG FITNESS

Social Venture

Mogo Lifelong Fitness has been set up as a separate entity to Mogo Fitness, with the specific social mission to motivate more people to exercise more regularly in later life.

This venture is in R&D phase currently and is being being developed with the support of Cambridge Social Ventures, part of Cambridge University, on a 12 month incubator programme.

Mogo Lifelong Fitness has been created to get more people motivated to exercise later in life. The core components of the business are as follows:

  • Programme; a progressive series of exercise sessions that are varied, safe and fun. All content will be high quality and evidence-based.

  • Online platform and community – looking to create a credible, engaging, inspiring, inclusive and stylish digital space for older people, where personal achievement can be celebrated.

By inspiring people to be more active and equipping them with the tools and knowledge to live healthier lifestyles, on a consistent basis, there will be a reduction in obesity-related chronic illnesses, improved mobility and improved mental wellbeing.

The cost of the ageing population is putting an increasing strain on society as people are leading sedentary lives, not eating balanced diets and many are lonely, leading to mental health issues. Sadly this important sector of the population are often overlooked and certainly not the focus of the fitness industry. Many older people are intimidated by exercise and simply don't know where to start.

Mogo Lifelong Fitness is a company limited by shares with a locked in social mission to reinvest 10% of profits to address the problem that the social mission is setting out to address.

If you think you would like to support this venture in any way or to find out more, please email me at jane@mogo.fitness
